The Montview Conservation Land is a 3.2 acre parcel of land
(approximately 2 acres of conventionally tillable land), designated by the City of Northampton as conservation land. The City leases the land to entities capable of implementing use in accordance with applicable conservation guidelines with a facility for community input.

Montview Conservation Land’s mission is to conserve the land in accordance with applicable conservation guidelines, while building community through ecologically conscious food production.

PARTICIPATION:

Currently the City is in the process of determining who will receive the license to use the land in a lease period up to three years, beginning tentitively on March 1, 2012, after an open RFP is published and neighborhood input is received via the mechanisms the Conservation Commision has deemed appropriate and valid. The next meeting of the Northampton Conservation Commision is January 25th at 5pm. The Northampton Conservation Commission website is:
